"Paeez Amad": A Love Story During the Time of War

The book "Paeez Amad", written by Golestan Jafarian and published by Sooreh Mehr, centers on the memoirs of Fakhrolsadat Mousavi, the wife of Martyr Ahmad Yousefi, one of the martyrs of the Iran-Iraq war.
Paeez Amad presents a documented narrative of a love story set during wartime. It is a human story, told without slogans, portraying a woman’s confrontation with the imposed war and the multiple ways it affected her life.

The book begins with the story of how Fakhrolsadat Mousavi met and later married Martyr Ahmad Yousefi, then follows the couple’s life in Zanjan Province, Iran, and the challenges they faced at the outbreak of the war. While the book drew attention from readers interested in resistance literature and works focused on the eight-year Iran-Iraq war, it was also praised by readers who do not typically specialize in this genre.
Paeez Amad was nominated for the Jalal Literary Award, one of Iran’s prestigious literary prizes, in 1401. The audiobook version, narrated by Zahra Sadat Khalili, was published by Samava, the audiobook division of Sooreh Mehr. Additionally, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wrote an endorsement for this book, which was unveiled in 1403.
