The story follows a Muslim cleric and preacher who is supposed to travel to a village on the Iranian border to hold a religious ceremony. His wife accompanies him on this journey, but midway, traffickers kidnap him and his wife, leaving him unaware of his wife’s fate.

The book won the long story and novel category at the 14th Jalal Literary Award, one of Iran’s prestigious literary prizes, and in the same year also received the Book of the Year of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Turkish edition of the book was published by Feta Publishing in Turkey. The audio version, in its original Persian text, was published by Sad Publishing.
